Though born in 1956 and started manifesting the future at age nine, yet the first major step into a defining future was made in 1988. At age nine, Queen Okenwa was continually seen tutoring kids who were younger than she was.
The mum, Grace Ogbodo, would always wonder what the little daughter wants to achieve in teaching other children and equally made attempts to discourage Queen in that direction, but destiny insisted.
Interestingly Queen Okenwa was born in the day that Queen Elizabeth II visited Enugu State in 1956, hence she was given the name Queen alongside with many other girls who were born in the same period. Though many were given the name Queen by virtue of circumstantial privilege, not too many however rose to wear the crown.
The growing years of Queen Okenwa was not without challenges. She and her siblings were subjected to hawking due to hardship; A must do for her, if she must be able to pay her school fees. Against all odds, Queen trained as a teacher and had the privilege of teaching in a Government owned school, a couple of years.
In 1988, Queen Okenwa took a major step into achieving her dream by founding the Queen’s Model Nursery/Primary School which started at the passage of 13 Kano Street (A plastered mud house)It was indeed a situation where all that many could see were limitations. Alas, Queen Okenwa regarded it as the days of little beginnings.
Today what starts as a mustard seed blossomed into a mighty tree, providing shelter to many. Queen’s Model vision, grew from strength to strength and glory to glory and currently boasts of 2 campuses for Nursery and Primary  and the Secondary section, and has impacted greatly on thousands of people.
Queen Okenwa was equally known for her passion for the gospel. She was greatly involved in rural evangelism and social impact outreaches.
