Queen’s Model Schools had the immense honor of welcoming Dr. Emanuel Perlman, a renowned Global Peace Builder and Founder of Destination Peace, along with his wife, Janice Perlman, to our Secondary Section and both campuses of our Nursery and Primary Schools on Friday, July 11, 2025.
At the Coal Camp campus, pupils greeted Dr. Perlman and his wife with a vibrant band parade and a captivating cultural dance. At the Idaw River Primary campus, enthusiastic children welcomed them by singing “If Only the World,” a song composed by Dr. Perlman. On the same day, the Secondary Section honored Dr. Perlman with a spirited Model Parade.
In an engaging address on communication, Dr. Perlman emphasized, “Communication is not just about what we say, but how we say it—with feeling, compassion, and care. That inner voice defines who we are.” He further encouraged students to reflect on how they use their voices, using the phrase “It is a beautiful day” to demonstrate how tone and delivery can profoundly impact meaning. He urged students to practice active listening, stating, “Listening is active, not passive; you have to listen to what others have to say.”
On Sunday, July 13, 2025, Dr. Perlman and his wife graced the graduation ceremony of Queen’s Model Nursery and Primary Schools. Addressing the graduates, Dr. Perlman shared, “My wife and I are deeply grateful to God for the strength to travel from the United States to be with you. You are like shining stars, poised to make Nigeria’s future extraordinary.” He continued, “Your smiles, energy, and songs fill us with happiness and hope. You are not only Nigeria’s future but also a beacon of hope for a better world.”
The Management, Staff, Parents, Students, and Pupils of Queen’s Model Schools express profound gratitude to Dr. Emanuel Perlman and his wife, Janice Perlman, for their visit and commitment to supporting our school projects. Notably, Dr. Emanuel Perlman and Janice Perlman are the inaugural Model Patron and Model Patroness of Queen’s Model Schools. In his remarks, the School Director, Mr. Chukwuma Ephraim Okenwa, said, “Thank you, Dad and Mom, for visiting us. We are delighted to have you both join us from the United States.”
